And now I know why Sasuga didn't have Hagaren for such a long time
Because Sasuga fucking moved. To fucking Waltham. To a fucking "warehouse space."
They were in Porter Square when I went the first time. I was ELEVEN YEARS OLD then. I have, like, no reason to feel bad, but I do. =_= That, and I'm worried for their business. I would really like for them to stay afloat. ...I would have liked it even better if they stayed in Porter Square, but I guess they wanted to have more space to allow for teenage otaku things tromping around and touching all their books. And the place really was a shoebox, there. ...maybe they'll get more up-to-date literature now, too. I would like to be able to try some RECENT Japanese best-sellers.
Well, to that end, I went to Porter Square with Olive and ate mackerel for lunch/dinner, bought a lot of Japanese food to take home, and Animage and Animedia. The Animedia...is...I'll talk more about that in a minute. It was really fun to hang out and talk with Olive. I felt kinda bad because we didn't get to sit around and just blah blah blah for very long. She's suggesting I come visit her in Pittsburgh, and I might just do that.
So this picture is like on one of the first few pages in the may issue of Animedia. That's right, that's a cigar in Roy's mouth. And he's going to light it with the alchemy.
Clearly I have to do to something about this.

I actually used LYRICS in an icon. It's Padrino, by Smash Mouth. It's supposed to be a song making fun of the mob, complete with romanticizing. ...I like it because it fits Utena...a lot... (There's another song called "Pet Names" on the Fush Yu Mang album that...really needs to be in an AMV for X/1999. A funny one.)
...well, I've done better, but at least now I have my icons up.
...so I ate mackerel this afternoon? I know for a fact I swallowed a bone at one point, but I thought it would be okay. ...my throat's a little sore on one side.

and oh no peoples didn't know about the moveage of sasuga!! :(
i talked to the owner lady... they moved cuz of their kids, skoos etc. and that's why they are hardly open in the new place too. But their business is still booming... mostly online orders though... and they'll be doing a bunch more con action (or so she said)
