The Man, Touguu Shizumasa

SO. Here we have the start of a new series :D Once upon a time, as a little boy, Shizumasa Touguu wrote a story that won a prize and was published as a storybook. Haine, also young, read it and fell in love with it. She landed up meeting Shizumasa at a party, and then she fell in love with him, too.
Years later, in ninth grade, she was a "yankee," which basically means she spent a lot of time having fights with people and she had a reputation for it, too! Anyways, she was hanging around on the street late one snowy night, and Shizumasa just happened to be there! He told her she shouldn't be staying out at night alone and crying, to, uh, not run away from who she is, and I guess it hit her so hard that she decided to get rid of the yankee from there on. She dyed her hair back to brown, left the sword at home, and turned over a new leaf as a nice rich girl, probably to get Shizumasa's attention.
The next step was going to the same school as Shizumasa, the Private Imperial Academy. This very rich, somewhat snotty school divides its students into three groups: the bronze, the silver, and the gold. Each one is a different level, and with each level comes different priviledges. Haine is an adopted member of a household that is famous, but about to go bankrupt, so she is a bronze---at the bottom of the food chain here. She spends a lot of her time doing part time jobs at her school, and she gives her money to her family.
Somewhere in all this, she hopes to get Shizumasa's attention, but it's not easy for her, because he is the one and only "gold" student at the school, and he gets all the special treatment. Mostly Haine is separated from him a lot, or she's not allowed to talk to him because she's supposed to be bowing and clearing the way as he walks by. It gets worse when she finds out that Shizumasa already seems to have someone---the only thing that says it's not true is that they haven't traded school ribbons/ties (a tradition there), but the rumor is still there.
She finally gets her chance one day when the Gedou, a group of students that oppose the bronze/silver/gold system and the student council's decisions, stages a mini-kidnapping of Shizumasa. Since Shizumasa's the president of the student council, and (again) the most powerful student in the school, he's an easy target. Haine is asked by a silver student, Maora, to find Shizumasa, and if she does, she can get into the student council. And amazingly enough, she does find him, but he's not at all happy to see her. Turns out the little announcement that said he was being held hostage wasn't sent out by the Gedou, he sent it out himself so that he could hide in the garden alone and get some peace and quiet. Earlier that day, he actually said he hated Haine (or hated yankees, can't tell which), and he's prety tough on her, but Haine begs him to fall in love with her and let her support him.
At that point, everybody else who's looking for Shizumasa shows up. There's some confusion as to whether Haine was actually the one who kidnapped him, but this is quickly cleared up when Shizumasa himself steps forward to defend her. It's decided that since Haine did find Shizumasa, she'll become a member of the student council, and possibly Shizumasa's bodyguard, though Shizumasa (and some other people) seem outraged at the idea.
The next day, Haine comes tripping along, late for school, and happens to runs Shizumasa, and a guy we've been seeing with him for the entire chapter (possibly named Maguri). And they thought they were alone. So they were apparently kissing. Gee, so that's who Shizumasa's going out with. Oh, I hear noises. What's that? Fangirls? SCREAMING? Hmm.

Hopefully, I'll get to read some of that manga soon. It'll probably be released in Germany soon, since everyone loves Arina here. Especially KKJ was very popular. They even showed the Anime on TV ^^;
