I ate DIM SUM with Yang and Lui today. Lui's funny. He was very quiet around the fambly and very silly in the car. Dim sum was good, they had those turnip things, and I had my taro dumplings. And COCONUT CUBES! XD Afterwards, we went to the Super 88, and since my parents were picking me up there, we went around and got a lot of things. Moon cakes (it's that time of year again, and mom ASKED), guava paste, ramen and curry, and these adorable bowls. CHEAP bowls. (We need more bowls for when we eat Japanese food :3...we need plates, too, but they weren't nearly as cute.) Yang and Lui bought a tube of wasabi to substitute for Lui's friend's toothpaste back in Chicago, and a jar of Purple as a gift. ...I kind of hope that ends well. T_T
I got a box of agar-agar, too. MWAHAHA.
Then I came home and slept for like 4 hours. Man, I hate it when I do that X_x

Agar-agar is what they use in Asia when a recipe calls for unflavored gelatin. It's made out of something from seaweed and I hear it sets pretty fast in comparison to the unflavored gelatin I've bought here. I have a couple recipes that call for it, so I thought I'd give it a try. I hear it's also used to make the gelatin in petri dishes! :D
