...wow, uh. This has been a very emo day for me. I sort of buried myself in PSP for a few days, and now that I've come out on the other side, I'm very sad. .-.

To demonstrate how screwed up I am right now, let me show you what I translated, and now have playing almost nonstop:

Anything would be nicer than 14 adorable, complicated young'uns facing their deaths one by one. I actually already have a go-to honobono fix in the form of Renai Catalog and some of my doujinshi (example: Roy and Ed play in the sandbox. Roy sculpts a giant pair of breasts). But...yes...cute little dragons playing, and the guy who is their mommy...oh man... =_=

Well, if you like artistic/experimental animes I would watch a few episodes of Noein because the animation at some points is blindingly awesome.

This series (baby dragons) runs in Zero-Sum, actually, so when I looked the author up it turned out she had gotten started doing slashy Suikoden doujin and even still does some now and again. That was kind of a weird discovery.

Oh and I feel like I should recommend Saiunkoku Monogatari... have you watched that?

Suzaku is from Code Geass (which I also stopped watching and have no inclination of resuming.) You're right that he was my favorite character though. I'm tlking about Rossiu (Gurren Lagann, aka the mecha show where everyone yells "Who the hell do you think I am?!" and wears sunglasses.)

Destiny 1 where Leon dies like an idiot and then is zombified like an idiot. Talk about salt in my wounds. Mind you right now I'm kinda not so fond of Leon on account of his very many fangirls and the ridiculous amount of fanservice they're getting, but at the time I wasn't happy.

LOLOLOLOLOL I MIXED UP CODE GEASS AND GURREN LAGANN. SHIT. I'm getting old, the new stuff all just runs together. =_=

I'm always discovering authors from Asuka that I LIKE have made FMA doujinshi, thought it's funny stuff as opposed to anything even approaching smutty. Except for the picture of Edkitty with no shirt and a rose in his mouth. *_*

I haven't watched it but every time I read Asuka or surf amazon.jp, I know that they want me to. I'm kind of avoiding it because it's too mainstream, though I have no idea how that's going to help me. I guess I'm worried that the heroine is going to be...stupid.

YES. YES. I AGREE COMPLETELY. It's the pandering that really bothers me. Tales of Destiny 2 was a steaming pile of crap, a total trainwreck, and the only reason they made it was for the money they got from fangirls. And now they're remaking Tales of Destiny remake...uh, guys? Where's my version of Symphonia told from Kratos' POV? >:| I want to see Anna and baby Lloyd!

I can't help but wonder when I see pictures of someone doing that - don't the thorns hurt?

Thing is with anime/manga that it's nearly almost misogynistic, even the shoujo, but, hmm... I like the main character. She's a bit 'perfect' and prone to comically exaggerated reactions, plus so far she has 3 or 4 guys in love with her at the same time, but she's resourceful during crises and hard-working. The fact that she doesn't let the Emperor give her a position by fiat and instead works for it, and gains a lot of respect on the way, is admirable, at least in my opinion. I think she'd make an amazing government minister!

Of course everyone in fandom just talks about the very handsome guys and ignores her, but oh well. ^^;

I heard the new release of ToD's remake is because they didn't make enough money off it the first time, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. Wasn't there a bit of ToS backstory in Fandom 2, though?

As long as she's not one of those characters who claims she has nothing going on for her except for unfailing health and optimism, and means it. I prefer "a bit perfect," to "helpless idiot" because, let me be frank here, I WANT AN AVATAR FOR INTERACTION WITH THE MENS. Which is to say, yeah, I think I'd be ignoring her for the mens, too. She would be me, after all.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I would be so amused if it was true but fun stuff like that is never true. Or they'll never admit it. As for Fandom 2, the only thing I've done with my copy so far is...open it and read the instruction booklet. =_= They say there's a segment from Kratos' point of view, 4000 years before Symphonia takes place, which really only means one thing, but of course I am jealous because it's not a whole game from his point of view. Then again, maybe I should be happy they don't think I'm stupid enough to buy and play the same game again...

I was planning on watching Gurren Lagann, because everyone seems to talk about it, but I'm EXTREMELY wary of angst and character death...GL avoids those, yes? ._.;;

Ahahaha...Code Geass. I got half way through the second episode before I went "...Shit, this is one of those best-friends-become-enemies-for-some-spectacularly-bad-reason shows, isn't it?" and stopped watching.

Only one character has died so far (besides monster-of-the-week types) but that one was everyone's favorite character and afterwards, the whole show was gloomy for several episodes. And the show isn't over yet, so the relative lack of deaths might change, too.

I quit watching it. What good are cartoons if they make you miserable?

...Hell, I couldn't even watch the last four episodes of Wolf's Rain, and I loved that show. o_<;;

Well, I'm waiting to see how Gurren Lagann ends; if it ends on an up note then I may finish watching it. Code Geass though I am not ever picking up again.
