Mira: A spirit is...dead.
Mira: Perhaps this is a human's power after all. I must make sure.
Narration: Man holds a wish to his heart, looks up to the sky and hopes that it comes true.
Narration: In Friese Maxia, where man and spirits exist, this is how everyone lives.
Narration: Man's wishes become reality with the spirits, and the spirits are protected by man's wishes.
Narration: And thus, the master of spirits, Maxwell, is capable of being the protector of all that exists.
Narration: In this world, there is no evil to threaten that order. But if there was...perhaps it would be in the hearts of men.
Jute: Can I protect the spirits and the people, too?

"If there is evil in this world, it lies in the hearts of men."
I might have had some other things to say but this. This is controlling me now. Nothing I would write about here matters as much.
Will they make it happen? Will they connect it to an existing game?
It seems confirmed that Mira is the product of Maxwell, and Friesen Maxia is a beta world Maxwell made to see what works best in his search. He discusses this in Narikiri Dungeon X, which coincidentally shares an X with Xillia.
I would expect Origin to not be around. I kind of thought he was associated with the elves and their particular tree. However, I can see Sekundes getting a mention, considering his apparent origins and where he was found. If he appears I can totally see this game being connected with Tales of Eternia, which would, oh wow, feel very nice after all these years.
People are sorting out a timeline and saying that Xillia would be in an alternate universe with no connection other than Maxwell...but "evil in the hearts of men" was first said by a human in Phantasia. It had to come from somewhere. I mean, I think they are saying that totally came from somewhere, so maybe Maxwell is sitting around talking to people in different worlds? Or letting different worlds communicate, be still, my heart.
I hear things about this game discussing unions, joining. There were the two worlds in Symphonia, there's Aselia and Derris-Kharlan, there's the two trees from each world and probably two sets of (slightly) different spirits. If Eternia is involved, there's two more worlds, and if Vesperia is involved, there's something to combine.
I could be mixing Phantasia up with Rayearth aheh ._. but I feel like Dhaos' "wish" was discussed. And so was Mithos'? And the people who had to fight them. Now this game is about wishes too. Human wishes protect the spirits, but maybe humans want really crazy technology that kills spirits -> spirits die -> environment dies -> humans die -> humans are evil. Maybe wishes and desires will be united for a single cause. I'd just get kind of bored if it happened because humans changed their ways after learning they were destroying themselves and their world, while nothing happened to the spirits because they were right all along. We've already done that. I want spirit lives/needs/desires to be on equal ground with those of humans now. I want, like, everyone becoming a human-spirit hybrid. ._.

Environments are my favorite part of a work of fantasy.

Anyway, I think it looks really nice, and it's neat that Jude is a doctor.

I'm kind of hoping that Mira will be Tear done right. Super serious but more natural about loving cute things (especially with that hero), knows what's going on but doesn't withhold knowledge until it's too late, and is actually a really capable fighter...it's not too late.

We'll see! Jude seems pretty mature (you can't be too hotheaded if you're a DOCTOR) so maybe they'll have more of a Cless and Mint type of relationship instead of yelling at each other all the time.

I, I want Jude to be all tennen and easygoing and honest and willing to save Mira from peril or whatever. I think it could happen. Yeah, I don't have any conversations taking shape in my head where Mira gets Jude to buy cake and he's like, "I got enough for both of us so let's eat together 8DDD," o-or Jude saving Mira and Mira thinking, "I'm not going to say anything but that was endearing." NO. STOP. GAH. FANGIRL THOUGHTS ABOUT THE GIRL BOSSING JUDE AROUND. THE FANBOYS WILL TRY TO KILL ME.

Hmm, tennen could be good! I'm just hoping he's not an idiot like Terra from KH BBS. >_> But that seems cute! It looks to me that the game still has far to go though, since they didn't have a battle menu or anything showing.

I'm very very very sick of "herbivore" and "carnivore" already. Just another virgin/whore dichotomy. :| 後、一般(?)女性向けのウェブサイトに、草食の彼を結婚に導くための裏技、と言った記事を見て、うあー。 Also, whenever I see guys in these places saying "herbivore," all I read is, "I'm an overcompensating dude and I say he's a virgin so he doesn't have HAX SEX SKILLZ and a super pen0r like meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." Gosh, that's a lot more words, it gets annoying.
I almost see Jude and Mira as Luke and Tear done right. But it's still early so I suppose he could still be an idiot...? What if he was like Kyle only he constantly talked about being a doctor instead of a hero, LOL SO AWFUL!!

More like, "I'm jealous of this video game character who doesn't exist for getting it on with those hot female video game characters (who also don't exist) so I'm going to make fun of him, hahaha!"
Well, the Tales of the Abyss story holds up if you look at it scene by scene, but if you look at it as a whole it's incredibly frustrating. How much trouble could have been avoided if Tear, Jade or Ion had taken Luke aside earlier in the game and explained a few things to him? Instead later they all criticize him for making mistakes when they knew 100x more about the world than he did. Aaagh.
Oh dear, I hope not. I would feel sorry for his patients! Probably he'll just give first aid to wounded NPCs they meet on the way.

I like that he looks passionate and youthful, but not rough or stupid.
